Mazonk Mining Cooperation Ltd is one of the Best Mining Cooperation in Zwedru in terms of mineral wealth. However, this wealth was largely untapped as mining is a very capital intensive industry and in the early years of independence, capital was scarce. Under these circumstances, the Mazonk Mining Cooperation Limited (MMCL) was incorporated on 16th May 2005 as a joint venture Company of Government and with the objective of harnessing the mineral wealth of the County of Zwedru through exploration, extraction as well as value addition. Four years later, MMCL became one of the best companies in the County of Zwedru in the Republic of Liberia.
MMCL is pioneer and is well known for its all-round ARC & Sustainability practices. It has been honored at national level on several occasions for its outstanding contribution and leadership roles in ARC & Sustainability.
